The spider is mainly associated with patiently waiting in a web for a passing insect to bump into its web. There are though many spiders that hunt, you will see them running about on the ground on hot days, these spiders run down their prey. There are many other fascinating ways of hunting. There is the spitting spider that spits sticky glue at its prey preventing it flying or moving off. Some spiders are just like cats creeping up and jumping on their prey.
